Matt was born in Amarillo, Texas. He moved to Winchester at age 4 with his family when his dad got a job at the hospital.

Growing up in Winchester, his childhood was filled with visits to Dinosaur Land, fishing the Shenandoah River and Lake Frederick (back when the only thing there was a lake and a bait shack), exploring George Washington’s Office and fun at the Apple Blossom Festival. He loved spending time helping his dad work around the house and learning to use his hands. After graduating from James Wood High School, he attended Radford University where he earned his Bachelors of Communications and met his wife, Beth. Beth and Matt spent several years in Austin, TX before making their way back to the Shenandoah Valley.

After several years in an office job, Matt knew he had a desire to be on his feet, helping others, and to be constantly learning; he decided to become a home inspector because he knew he could do all of those things and more each and every day. With almost 2,000 inspections and 8 years of experience professionally inspecting homes, Matt is certain that you will leave your inspection, informed and knowledgeable of each and every component inspected in your new home.

As an inspector, Matt learned about radon and found a passion for making families homes safer by installing radon mitigation fans. Matt was certified in 2021 to professionally install Radon Mitigation Fans, and now has a team to help remove radon from your home.

Joshua Gogolin

Joshua serves as our Lead Technician. He grew up in Strasburg and after high school, quickly found a love of Radon Mitigation! He brings over 18 years experience in mitigation to our team and is one of the most knowledgeable professionals in our area! Josh has been married to his wife, Heather for 6 years and they have three children: Evelyn, Madison and Luke. When he’s not making homes safer, he enjoys road trips with his family, playing disc golf and sitting by a campfire! He’s our kind of guy, and we’re so glad he’s here!

Tim Coffman

Tim works as a Radon Mitigation Assistant and has learned the field quickly! He graduated Sherando High School so knows the area well. In his spare time, you’ll find him winning disc golf tournaments, or hanging out with friends playing softball or fishing. We are so proud to have these guys as part of the Williams Radon Services crew! If you see them driving our van, make sure to give them a honk!!

Jay Sabol

Jay serves as our Certified Radon Tester, so you may meet him as he executes our post-mitigation testing to ensure our newly installed system is working properly or while testing to see if there is radon in a home. We test all of our systems as a complementary service to our clients so they can be sure their radon levels are below EPA guidelines. Jay grew up in Winchester and went to Millbrook High School.  For fun he enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons, going to trivia, and riding his motorcycle.
